Screen Actors Guild Nominations Revealed

Hit shows Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, Homeland, House of Cards, and Mad Men are all competing for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

The nominations for the 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards have been revealed, with Leonardo Dicaprio Eddie Redmayne, and Johnny Depp competing for the Best Actor prize. The nominations were announced Wednesday by Anna Faris and Anthony Mackie.

Dicaprio is nominated for his performance in The Revenant, and has stiff competition with Redmayne’s The Danish Girl and Depp’s Black Mass.

Cate Blanchett and Dame Helen Mirren are battling it out for Best Actress for their respective roles in Carol and Women in Gold. Mirren is also nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Hedda Hopper in Trumbo.

Kate Winslet also earned a Best Supporting Actress nod for her supporting role in Steve Jobs. Also nominated in the category were Rachel McAdams for Spotlight, Alicia Vikande for The Danish Girl and Rooney Mara for Carol.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAGs) will take place in Los Angeles on Jan. 30, and will be televised on TNT and TBS.
